AHOTSAK
EITB will look for the best choir in the Basque Country in the program 'Ahotsak'.
EITB1 will launch in September 'Ahotsak', a musical program whose objective is to find the best choir in the Basque Country. Hosted by Julian Iantzi, the program will have the collaboration of music expert Hibai Etxebarria.
In each installment of 'Ahotsak', produced by the production company Baleuko and EITB, three choirs will compete in different corners of the Basque Country: Elorrio, Bermeo, Gasteiz, Zarautz, Lizarra, Ordizia, Lekeitio and Hernani. In total, twenty-four choirs will compete.
Each choir will offer us two songs in a meaningful and aesthetically attractive location in its own house. By voting, it will be the choir directors and Hibai who will choose who deserves the points. They will take into account everything: the choice of the song, the staging, the tuning, the risk-taking, the development....
The choir with the most points in each session will win. The winners of the eight programs will meet at the final in Donostia. There, the winner of 'Ahotsak' will be announced.
As for the musicians and choirs, there will be an opportunity to meet those of different styles and origins. Classical Basque songs, rock, pop, African music, gospel, ecclesiastical.... There will be everything.
